Pre-Action & Deluge Systems

Using a Pre-Action System to Protect Your Assets

When fire protection is a must, but accidental triggers could be devastating, Double Eight Fire Protection advises the use of Pre-Action Sprinkler Systems. This particular system is specifically designed to activate after a primary fire protection device has been triggered. These devices may include heat, smoke or UVIR flame detectors. After the fire detection system has been triggered, the pre-action valve will be tripped and water will be sent to closed sprinklers, as to protect against potential water damage. In the event of an actual fire, the sprinkler heads will activate, releasing water onto the flames. This system also includes a manual operation option for situations that need quicker response times.
